Long Supplier List |
A list of suppliers collected for sending a Quick Scan Form/Request. The number of Long List Suppliers will be decided after discussion with Customer. |
Short Supplier List |
Suppliers that have provided the information as response to the Supplier Quick Scan. Information may be collected via a telephone interview and field visit. The suppliers will be evaluated/rated by using a Short List Supplier Evaluation form. |
Supplier Round Table Meeting |
Arrangement of a selected number of Suppliers to have a face-to-face meeting with the customer, at the office of Unisource in China. Unisource will prepare the agenda of the meeting and lead the meeting. |
Supplier Visit (with or without in accompany with the customer) |
A visit to the supplier's facility/plant, the following agenda may be included: Supplier presentation, Unisource's introduction, Questions & Answers and a factory tour. The visit can be done by a Specialist of Unisource or in accompany with the Customer. After the visit, the supplier will be rated based on a Rapid Plant Assessment Questionnaire. |
Technical Translation |
Translation of specification, requirement and manual into local language. |
Benchmarking |
A selected list of suppliers will be asked to make an offer according to a pre-defined format. A benchmarking report cinsists of costs and non-cost factor will be prepared. |
Bidding |
Organization of a bidding for customers. |
Negotiation |
Negotiating/assisting customer negotiating a contract/ agreement. |
Supplier Audit |
This can be a full Supplier on-site audit that may include the following elements:
- Quality System audit
- Business assessment
- Manufacturing assessment
- Continuous Improvement assessment
- Technology assessment
- Industrial Safety Assessment;
- Environment Management
